Slavery Discussion

Today in class we had a discussion about slavery. Each person chose a historical figure and argued on behalf of what they believed in. Half of the class argued for slavery and the other half argued against it. Majority of the arguments made for slavery pertained to economics, while arguments against it were morally-based. It was interesting to be introduced to so many perspectives from people who actually were alive during that time period.
